This is Cole

Hi fancy meeting you here! My name is Cole Adlam. By day [and, although I protest, some nights] I’m a nurse. I have been one for 12 years now and I love it. I was a baby nurse in paediatrics, and grew substantially from there, dabbling in public health, oncology and emergency. You might [okay, will] see medical prose in my novels, it’s just something that comes so natural when I’m writing!

I live in western Canada, near the majestic rockies! When I’m not writing, editing, or proofreading; you can find me hanging by water, in the summer, or reading near a snowy window, in the winter! I also love softball, snowboarding, and watching my two kids doing all the things! I started writing recently after my youngest turned four and suddenly [!!] I found myself with extra time! They actually entertain themselves at some point! Never thought I would see the day.

Favourite authors you ask? All time fave, def N.K Jemisin especially the inheritance trilogy. In fact, that is my very inspiration for my second novel, in the works! Margaret Atwood has a brilliant mind, that I would love to pick, and aspire to be alike. Finally, I adore Sophie Kinsella. I started reading her novels, as soon as I could finish chapter books as a kid; 10 years old, when I read Confessions of a Shopaholic. Still one of my favourites, and perhaps the main reason why I love Manhattan! P.S. Sophie if you ever read this, I’m still looking for a coveted sample sale in NYC, whenever I come to visit!

Am I an oversharer? Why yes, yes I am. Will my covert cover last long? I’m sure bets are placed.

It’s always been my dream to become an author and what better time to start, then now!
